Charity Fundraising Program
Octopus Car Wash is a strong believer in community support. We certainly support charity organizations raising money and we believe in the safety and security of the community and the environment. Many organizations have resorted to having a car wash at a local business to raise money for their cause. We discourage organizations from having these car washes because the runoff water cannot be captured, treated, recycled, and properly disposed of. In fact the City of Albuquerque has a Waste Water Ordinance in place to protect car wash water from running into the storm sewer. Businesses that have allowed charity car washes on their property have even been fined. Therefore, we have developed a special car washing program that we offer to all non-profit youth organizations. Half of the money raised with this program goes directly to the organization. All the responsibility of washing the customers' cars fall on Octopus Car Wash. We provide a service to the customers, by: supplying the help, conserving on water, disposing of waste in the proper manner and ensuring the organization a profitable success.
We offer a package coupon for the organizations to sell. For each coupon sold by the organization 50% is retained by the organization. Coupons are issued to the organization by us with no up front cost to the organization. Any unsold coupons must be returned to Octopus at no added expense to the organization. All coupons sold will be honored at any one of our six locations throughout the city within the allotted time frame.
Participation is as follows:
Schools: September – March
Any other groups, league or club: April – August
Available Packages
We offer the works package to charity organizations. This is a $15 value ($7.50 goes to the charity organization).
